With 16 years of training experience, Kwan Hong has personally conducted workshops or given speeches live to over 1.5 million people and 1100 organizations and schools, in more than 50 countries. In addition, Kwan Hong has conducted lectures and given keynotes to institutions such as Nanyang Technological University, Singapore Management University, James Cook University, Newcastle University, Edinburgh Napier University, Singapore Institute of Management, Management Development Institute of Singapore, Auston Institute of Management, Singapore Human Resource Institute, Singapore Polytechnic, and Ngee Ann Polytechnic. Regional Training Experience
Kwan Hong has trained government officials from Singapore, Maldives, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos, and has given talks and workshops in Australia, Bahrain, China, India, Indonesia, Kuwait, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Qatar, Thailand, The Philippines, Sri Lanka, UAE, and the USA. He is the youngest trainer approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Singapore) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Vietnam) to represent Singapore as the lead trainer for a 3-week government training programme at the Vietnam-Singapore Training Centre at the age of 28. He has also received the highest instructor ratings score of 96.4%.
Subsequently, he was also the youngest trainer approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Singapore) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (Kingdom of Cambodia) to represent Singapore as the lead trainer for another 3-week government training programme at the Cambodia-Singapore Training Centre at the age of 29. He received the highest ratings score of 91.34%.
Kwan Hong also represented Singapore as the youngest lead trainer for another 3-week government training programme at the Lao-Singapore Training Centre at the age of 29. He received the highest instructor ratings score of 96.4% and course and content ratings score of 96.6%.
Kwan Hong has also given a keynote speech to 150 government officials, and delivered lectures to multiple organizations at the Maldives Civil Service Training Institute and The Maldives National University. The audiences to Kwan Hong’s lecture include the President of the Civil Service Commission, Director Generals, Directors, Deputy Directors, Head of Departments, Secretariats, Permanent Secretaries, and other prominent leaders of the civil service sector in Maldives.
Public Speaking Accomplishments
In 2017, Kwan Hong came out tops over 5000 contestants to become the Singapore Public Speaking Champion, awarded by Toastmasters International. He was ranked 2nd in Singapore for the Evaluation Speech Contest in 2016 and 2017. He was ranked top 7 in Singapore and Thailand in 2013. He holds 1 District Championship Title, 5 Division Championship Titles, and 7 Division Runner-Up accolades. He also holds 13 Area Championship Titles and 39 Club Championship Titles. Kwan Hong was often invited to judge and adjudicate in national public speaking competitions and Toastmasters speech contests. He was also awarded the Distinguished Toastmasters (DTM) title, the greatest honour that can be earned by a member of Toastmasters International, achieved by less than 1% out of 350,000+ members globally. In total, Kwan Hong has accomplished 131 Education Awards, the most ever accomplished in Singapore.
